Rankin Exhibition

Today is the first day of the Rankin exhibition at the CWC Gallery. The comprehensive collection of over 50 of Rankin’s photographs will be around until April 1, 2017.

If you’ve never been to the CWC Gallery you are definitely missing out. The gallery is brought to you by CAMERA WORK, which currently has two galleries in Berlin. The CWC Gallery in Mitte is housed in a former Jewish girl’s school. Finished in 1928, the building has an historical charm that you can only find in Berlin.

The CWC Gallery is on the first floor, while the second has a Kennedy Museum, and the third is the Michael Fuchs Gallery.

Rankin is a Scottish photographer, publisher, father and much more. He founded the magazine Dazed and Confused in 1992 and has since continued to leave his mark on the editorial and commercial world. His photos have be been featured in all major household name fashion and lifestyle magazines.

The exhibition presents an impressive 50 works by the photographer, shot from 1995 to present. Subject matters of the exhibition include super models (Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen), musicians (the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Adele), as well as several small groups of more abstract work.
