Lots of Americans go to university out-of-state, ideally on the other side of the coast, somewhere far away from all those awkward high school memories and controlling parents… but I didn’t. Instead, I ended up going university in the little town where I grew up. Sounds boring, right?
Luckily, my lack of wanderlust didn’t last long. After freshman year, I went to Europe for the first time to study abroad in Germany, and just like that I was hooked. Ever since, I’ve had my heart set on living, working, and engrossing myself in European culture and languages.
I moved back to Germany after graduation and completed a master’s degree in Communication and European Studies. A bit of soul-searching and several internships have led me to pursue marketing communications. Currently, I’m working in Berlin as a Content Marketer and freelancer. When I’m not in the office you can find me at the gym, in an art gallery, or reading a book in a train, bus or plane on my way to my next adventure.
What gets me out of bed everyday is my desire to keep experiencing and learning about new things –whether through traveling, art, learning languages, or reading. Check out my lifestyle and travels posts, and let them serve as inspiration to excite your imagination.
